The story

Día de los Muertos creates space for memory, beauty, grief, and joy to live together. The 2025 gathering continued Oaxaca en Utah's collaboration with Myers Mortuary in Ogden.

The celebration invited families to remember loved ones while learning about the symbols and practices that make Día de los Muertos a living tradition.

Public and community partners helped create a respectful, welcoming gathering where memory could be shared across generations and cultures.
